With experienced instructors and a wealth of dive sites, obtaining a dive certification in Wailea opens up a world of adventure, allowing divers to immerse themselves in the captivating beauty of Hawaii’s waters.
A short teaching session in our shaded classroom is followed by a water skills lesson in our 10 foot deep dive pool to provide a relaxing environment for our new divers. Divers will then go directly from the pool and then dive in the ocean on our House Reef.
We will get you open water certified over 3 days in our pool & ocean course. Students must sign up for the PADI e-learning course separately prior to joining us. Our course does not exceed 4 students per instructor and days will last typically about 5 hours.
We are able to take PADI, SSI, NAUI, or SDI students. Over two days, we will conduct your four required checkout dives off the shoreline of the Grand Wailea Resort. You can even upgrade your final dives to be off the boat and get to dive at Molokini Crater!
The PADI Scuba Diver Rating limits divers to a depth of 40ft. Want to expand your certification to the full Open Water level? Enroll in the upgrade course and we can verify what training you’ve done and what you’ll need to be a PADI OW diver!
Over 2 days, students will complete 5 specialty dives including Deep and Navigation. The other 3 specialties may be selected from: Boat, Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Fish ID, Underwater Naturalist, Drift, and Search & Recovery.
One of the best ways to improve your skills and be the best dive buddy ever is to be certified as a Rescue Diver. Students will refresh their Emergency First Responder skills, if necessary, before engaging in two five-hour sessions over two days.
Due to improving safety standards in the State of Hawaii, we are now requiring all divers to complete a medical questionnaire prior to any dive trip. This is our way to verify that no guest has any health contradictions that may prevent them from safely diving with us and other guests. Some health contradictions may require approval by a physician prior to diving. Please review the form to check if you will require a physician’s approval.
